Job Description

DistributorCentral is looking for a positive, creative, problem-solving developer who is looking to change an industry. We use ColdFusion, JavaScript, jQuery, CSS, MSSQL, Node.js, and various Amazon Web Services including Elasticsearch, EC2, S3, Route53, Redshift, Lambda, Elastic Beanstalk, CloudFront, SNS, and SES.

Other technologies we use include: React, Apache, Nginx, jQuery Mobile, Linux, REST, Bootstrap, Knockout, Phonegap, Handlebars, JIRA, Git, .Net/C#, XML, SOAP

Skills

  • Minimum three years of recent application development experience (.Net/C#, PHP, Ruby, Node.js, ColdFusion, etc.)
  • Client-side web technologies including jQuery and CSS
  • Writing complex SQL queries and stored procedures

Requirements

  • Solid problem solving skills
  • Positive, can-do attitude
  • Eagerness to learn new programming languages / concepts / technologies as they hit the marketplace
  • Ability to multi-task and work at a fast pace
  • Ability to communicate with both team members and customers

Software Support Specialist

The selected candidate will serve as a liaison between customers and our internal marketing, sales, and development teams. This person will provide support to our customers and assist with marketing and sales efforts in a dynamic, entrepreneurial, fast-paced environment. DistributorCentral is high energy and fun team with a laid back and flexible work environment.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Apply phone and web-based customer service, support, and marketing skills to inbound and outbound calls/emails.
  • Listen and respond to customer inquiries regarding technical questions, marketing inquiries, and other requests.
  • Potential travel to client sites to discuss software solutions, sales opportunities, and to train on new features.
  • Potential travel to industry tradeshows, conduct training, and attend events.
  • Host webinars and other online events.
  • Experience with website and graphic design.
  • Create and revise training documentation and videos.

Position Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree a plus.
  • One to two years relevant experience and/or training or equivalent.
  • Demonstrated strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills and the ability to listen to the customer and articulate technical solutions in a concise and polished manner to a diverse audience.
  • Solid reasoning abilities and problem-solving skills.
  • High level of comfort and effectiveness when talking to a broad range of influencers and decision-makers within an organization.
  • Experience with social media and blogs.
  • Strong organizational skills
